Fair organization

We expect about 800-1000 attendees in Almaty and Astana; about 300-500 in Atyrau and Aktau. We would advice you to use more leaflets rather than brochures and free-standing banners than posters as in some fair venues it is not permitted to hang posters on the walls.

Each participant will be provided with a table (with 4 chairs within a space allocation of approximately 8-10 sq.m.), a badge and an institution name tag.

Promotion campaign

Promotion campaign will be launched through electronic and printed media. Special invitations by Direct mail programme will be sent to all major national and multinational-companies, public Sector and educational institutions. The campaign will include press and TV advertisements, press releases, printing leaflets and flyers.

Interpreter services (are included in the fair fee)

You will be provided with an interpreter at every fair site.

Meals at fair places

Lunch will be provided during the fair on all fair venues and is included in fair fee. Coffee and tea breaks will be too.

General information

Kazakh language is the official language of the country, but everybody speaks Russian.

The time zone in Almaty, Nur-Sultan is GMT+6.

The national currency is Kazakhstan tenge (KZT). Though the prices below are in USD you will have to pay in KZT. USD and Euro are exchangeable at any exchange point in the city.The credit cards are also acceptable in most of the places.

Please, make your boxes no more than 5 kg each and one shipment must not exceed 30kg in total. Kindly write “No Commercial Value” on boxes. All of these measures are to avoid custom taxes that can be up to 300 USD per parcel. Also please state for each package to which city it should be transported, please write it on the box so it will be easier for us to transfer these packages through all the cities where AKIEF will take place.

You may also send the parcels via regular post - we will receive it within 14 days.

Visa

Important Information:

In Jan 2017, Kazakhstan will launched the pilot project with the inclusion of 39 countries. This incentive will be launched in order to attract investments and bring attractiveness towards tourism in Kazakhstan. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan is working on the ways to ease travel to Kazakhstan.

The list now includes 39 countries, USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, UAE, Germany, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, South Korea, Latvia, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, Mexican states, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, UK, France, Czech republic, Chili, Swiss Confederation, Sweden, Estonia.

The foreign ministry release says that “citizens of these countries may enter Kazakhstan with all types of valid passports visa-free from Jan 01, 2017 for a period of up to 30 (fifteen) days after the crossing of the border of Kazakhstan.” The resolution also rules that registration of citizens from these countries will be made directly at border crossings when entering the territory of Kazakhstan, meaning they do not need to register at hotels or migration police units.

Citizens of some EU countries (you can see the complete list of countries in the Kazakhstan consulate/embassy in your country) don’t need Invitation Letter/ Visa Letter for obtaining Kazakhstan Visa, but nevertheless we will send it on request. Residents of countries, which do not have the Embassy, or any Diplomatic representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan can obtain their visas at the airport on arrival with an invitation letter.

• Place, where apply for a Kazakhstan visa
